Please read these terms carefully before using our services

Welcome to Ship Biz Ja! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including purchases, shipments, and all interactions with our business.


1. General

By using Ship Biz Ja’s services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review them periodically.


2. Services Offered

Ship Biz Ja offers specialized shipping solutions from China and Turkey to Jamaica, including:

  • Procurement support (we buy on your behalf)

  • Air and sea freight options

  • Consolidated and full container shipping

  • Local delivery or pickup in Jamaica


3. Purchasing on Your Behalf

If you request us to make a purchase on your behalf:

  • You must provide clear and accurate links or product details.

  • Full payment must be made upfront before the order is placed.

  • We are not responsible for incorrect items received if the information provided was inaccurate.


4. Shipping Times & Delays

While we strive for timely deliveries, shipping times are estimated and may vary due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Customs processing

  • Global shipping delays

  • Port congestion or strikes

Ship Biz Ja is not liable for any delay outside our control once the shipment leaves our warehouse.


5. Duties & Customs Fees

Duties are determined by Jamaican Customs and typically range from 35% to 50% of the total invoice value. Charges may vary based on the nature and value of goods.
Note: Clients are responsible for all applicable duties and customs fees.


6. Lost or Damaged Items

We take all reasonable care in handling and packing your goods. However, Ship Biz JA is not liable for items lost during international transit. Also not liable if you’re without a delivery Warehouse receipt as proof of delivery to our Warehouse. Insurance coverage can be arranged upon request prior to shipment.


7. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been submitted for purchase or shipment.

  • Refunds are not available for shipping services once your items have been dispatched.

  • If a supplier refund is requested (in the case of purchase errors), the processing time is dependent on the seller’s policy.


8. Local Pickup & Delivery

  • Clients will be contacted once their packages are ready for pickup or delivery.

  • If the package is less than a CBF, the package can be picked up at our Half Way Tree location. Anything bigger can be picked up at the stripping of the container or other arrangements can be made.

  • Packages must be collected within 10 business days unless alternative arrangements are made.

  • A fee may apply for storage beyond the pickup window.


9. Prohibited Items

Clients must ensure they do not ship restricted or prohibited goods. Ship Biz Ja reserves the right to reject any item that is:

  • Illegal under Jamaican law

  • Hazardous or flammable

  • Due to Chinese wharf customs issues, we have temporarily stopped receiving certain batteries, including phone and solar batteries, as well as batteries for electric bikes, scooters, baby bikes, and cars.

  • Deemed unsafe for shipping


10. Limitation of Liability

Ship Biz JA shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profits or revenue

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Delays or failure to deliver due to events beyond our control


11. Privacy

We respect your privacy. Any personal data shared with us is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order or communicating about services. We do not sell or share your information with third parties.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, and any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of Jamaican courts.
